INSTRUMENTAL RATING IR(A) QUALIFICATION COURSE
The aim of this course is to train pilots to the necessary level of expertise to y under Instrument Flight Rules IFR.

THEORETICAL COURSE (WITHOUT MATPL(A) TRAINING)
150 HOURS
The course is trained by professionals in the aeronautical sector with extensive experience in the
different subjects required by AESA.

PRACTICAL TRAINING FOR PPL(A) HOLDERS
Single-engine Instrumental qualication IR/SE(A)
- Basic instrumental flight module: 10 hours of instrumental training (5 hours in SEPL(A) and 5 hours
in FNPT II Flight Simulator). Basic instrumental flight module Certificate.
- IR(A) SEPL(A): 50 hours of instrumental training (15 hours in an Advanced Single-Engine and 35
hours in FNPT II Flight Simulator).
• 1:30 HOUR FOR FINAL CHECK RIDE.
• INCLUDES AIRPORT TAXES AND FUEL.
Multi-engine Instrumental qualication IR/ME(A)
-Multi-engine qualification MEPL(A), if without ME instruction: 6 hours instruction (MEPL) with
SENECA II
- Basic instrumental flight module: 10 hours of instrumental training (5 hours in ME and 5 hours in
FNPT II Flight Simulator). Basic instrumental flight module Certificate.
- IR(A) MEPL(A): 55 hours of instrumental training (15 hours in ME and 40 hours in FNPT II Flight
Simulator).
• 1:30 HOUR FOR FINAL CHECK RIDE.
• INCLUDES AIRPORT TAXES AND FUEL.

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS • A valid PPL(A) or CPL(A) holder • 50 flight hours as Pilot in Command for SEPL(A) or 70 flight hours as Pilot in Command for MEPL(A). • Class 1 medical certificate ADITIONAL REQUIREMENTS • English language skills for IR(A). FCL 055 Radiotelephony.
